Would anyone in their right mind want to suffer? Could a rational mind choose to be lacking rather than perfect and complete? Would sanity value limitation and uncertainty in perception over certainty and truth in knowledge? Yet this is what our mind is deciding for because this is what we see and experience. ACIM says, “Sin is insanity. It is the means by which the mind is driven mad, and seeks to let illusions take the place of truth.” Pg.419 Txt.
Today, with Eloisa Ramos, we explore, what is sin? And why ACIM says, “Sin is the home of all illusions, which but stand for things imagined, issuing from thoughts that are untrue.” but taken as “proof” that “God’s Son is evil; timelessness must have an end; eternal life must die.” Pg. 419 Txt.
With the guidance of Lessons 251-260 we will explore whether sin is real or not; whether we are responsible for our "disordered" thought and the errors that come from that; and the connection between guilt, suffering and illness. We will also explore “ego” and its relationship to sin. “The ego does not perceive sin as a lack of love, but as a positive act of assault. This is necessary to the ego’s survival...” Pg 84 Txt.
