Part of being human is having the capacity to dream. To have ambition. To set goals, become motivated, and fight to transform dreams into realities. In terms of activism, this journey is complicated. What is the struggle ? Is it a hybrid of something that everyone evaluates differently ? What is activism one engages in being waged for, or against ? Is the battle economic, individualistic, political, or cultural in nature ? Where should limited energy and resources be invested ? These questions alone make activism challenging, rewarding, and at some times, disasterous. Due to the fact that nothing in life is of assurance, is there a time when one has " fought the good fight " long enough ? Is this a tough point to ponder, or what ? Ill share some thoughts about this topic tonight. X
