The recent shooting at the Washington naval yard begs a series of questions and observations; After Fort Hood and Benghazi, why aren't our military and government facilities more secure? Why are people with blatant psychological issues such as Bradley Manning and shooter Aaron Alexis given security clearances? Why is the U.S. military so reluctant to allow its personell to carry firearms while on post? Why was the Capital police SWAT unit told to "stand down" by the Washington police allowing the gunman to rampage through the naval facility for over half and hour? And finally isnt ironic that the media, assuming this mass killing could only have been committed with an AR-15, again railed against assault rifles only to find out the the shooter was firing a 4 round pump shotgun proving that magazine capacity has nothing to do with lethality? Mike and Pat will discuss the many questions surrounding the issue of the Washington naval yard shooting as well as the report by CBS that the VA is dumping huge quantities of pills on our returning veterans causing severe issues including death instead of properly dealing with the effects of PTSD.
