SISFI in association with NY Humanitarians Network "NYHN", NYC Community Activists Network "NYCCAN", The Rockaways Community Actions & Response Coalition “TRCAARC”, My Rockaways Media "MyRM" and International Community Media Network Project "ICMNP" presents a special feature on "Human Crisis: The Real Human Challenges of Sandy's Aftermath" on Sunday Aug. 18th, 8pm EST.This feature will be a real dialog about Health and Mental Health impacts being felt by victims of Sandy across NY & NJ and need for more effective resources. Many people who have been exposed to the dust, mold, contaminated water and poor nutrition (especially the children) for the first 6months after the storm will have some form of life-long impacts on health and mental health levels. The stressors of housing and relocation have taken very serious toll on victims as they try to adjust. While we look at rebuilding infrastructure, what are we doing about the quality healthcare and mental health challenges and services needed. Health and mental health losses cant be replaced.Mr. Brett A.
