Our soul winning passage from the Word of God today is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 which reads: "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." Our soul winning quote today is from Leith Anderson: "The simple definition of evangelism: Those who know, telling those who dont." Our soul winning devotional today is part 6 of our series titled "What Evangelism Is" from Dave Earley and David Wheeler. Evangelism is telling good news. The story of the Samaritan lepers in 2 Kings 7 has everything to do with evangelism. It is a story about the moral obligation to share good news. As the lepers said when they found the riches, "Were not doing right. This is a day of good news, and we are keeping it to ourselves." A literal translation of the word "gospel" is "good message" or "good news." In some spheres the word evangelism has obtained a negative connotation, but nothing could be further from the truth. The word evangelism literally means "to communicate good news." Jesus death on the cross to pay for our sins and open the way for us to get to God is good news. In fact, its the best news. But having such information does others no good unless, or until, we share it. We have to proclaim the good news. .......
