Yolanda Moore has made her living beating the odds. In May 1997, just four short months after giving birth to her second child, having recovered from a third knee surgery, and being told by newly named Houston Comets head coach (and her former college coach) Van Chancellor to “not waste her time coming to try out”, Yolanda Moore beat out more than 200 women to land one of four remaining spots on the inaugural roster of the Houston Comets. Yolanda spent four seasons in the WNBA winning two WNBA championships with the Houston Comets in 1997 & 1998. Yolanda believes in dreaming big and relentlessly pursuing her passion and she is dedicated to teaching others how to do the same. Yolanda is President of Yolanda Moore Empowerment Enterprises, a personal and professional development firm. She has been featured in Epitome Magazine and was a guest on Mid-Mornings with Andrea, a daily talk show which airs on WCBI in Columbus, Mississippi.
